Aftercare Service
The Aftercare Service at Project 6 is a discreet area of service provision targeting the needs of drug users, who are planning to become drug free, are drug free or who have just completed a programme of detoxification.
The project provides access to a range of activities, which are designed to improve the skills and self-confidence of the user/former user. Each person is encouraged to develop a personal ‘ learning plan’ tailored to their individual needs.
Currently, the range of activities available include:
- Computer Aided Design
- Visual Arts
- Digital Photography
- DJ and Drama Workshops
Additionally, we provide access to our mini-lending library and our store of board games.
The over-riding aim of the project is to encourage and support people to re-integrate into the local community, and to improve their training and employment prospects. Fundamentally, we recognise that, when people give up drugs, they need support to get started again.
